How It Works

Select your preferred categories of accommodation. In your documents, you will be given a complete list of the accommodations with photos, descrip­tions and a reference number. Each day you will call ahead (one phone call is free each day) to confirm the property you have ­chosen. If a property is not available, you will be offered another in the same area. You can take each day as you please, or pre-book accommodation for a nominal fee.

Standard Bed & Breakfast
Choose from over 1000 B&Bs throughout Britain. You will receive standard rooms; most homes offer rooms with private bathroom (subject to availability and supplement, payable upon check-in). Your overnight might be at a working farm, period cottage, homes that are hundreds of years old or a traditional B&B in a suburb.

Premier Bed & Breakfast
This program features over 600 traditional B&Bs (town and country homes) and
provides accommodation with private bathrooms. This quality B&B program is designed for the discerning traveler looking for extra comfort in an informal setting.

Hotels & Inns
We have selected over 1200 of Britain’s finest inns, pub-hotels and hotels, each offering the best in service, cleanliness and comfort. They range in size and style, and can include country properties as well as modern city hotels. All feature en suite rooms, a restaurant and bar. Choose from the Bronze (inns and 22-3 star hotels) Collection, Silver (3-32 star hotels) Collection, Gold (32-4 star hotels) Collection and Platinum (4-42 star hotels) Collection, or mix and match as you please.

Brendan’s Preferred Hotels
For those who like to plan ahead, we have featured dozens of preferred hotels in this brochure (samples are on pages 82-83 and 85-89). These hotels have been ­chosen for their location, cleanliness, and range of services. This variety of three, four and five star hotels offers incredible value. In heavily visited areas such as York, Stratford, the Lake District and Edinburgh, hotel space is at a premium and it is wise to re­serve ahead with Brendan. With all accom­mo­dation, you receive a full English breakfast. (In London, you receive a continental breakfast.) Child discounts are generally avail­­able when sharing a room with two adults.

Castles, Mansions & Manors
This is a rare opportunity to stay in some of the finest manors and castles in Britain. You will find these elegant properties played a significant role in British history and some of them date back to the 12th ­century. Many were around during the time of Shakespeare, while others were built during the 18th and 19th ­century. See page 84 for some of the ex­clusive properties Brendan partners with. These properties must be pre-booked with Brendan.
