Day 1: Depart USA
Fly overnight to London.

Day 2: Cambridge
Leave London and travel north to visit Wimpole Hall close to Cambridge and take an open top City Sightseeing tour bus through the ancient colleges of this fine University town before taking a trip to Punt on the Cam and experience Cambridge from the water. Dinner and overnight in Cambridge area.

Day 3: Lincoln & Harrogate
Journey north to Lincoln to see the magnificent Cathedral, location of scenes in the Da Vinci Code movie, after spending some time at the fine Belton House and Gardens. Proceed on to the genteel spa town of Harrogate for dinner and overnight in that area.

Day 4: York & Scotland
Start the day with a tour of the walled city of York and visit its magnificent Minster, England’s largest medieval cathedral. Wander through narrow cobbled streets, the 15th Century Shambles or visit the Jorvik Viking Centre. Continue yourjourney northwards to the university city of Durham to see its imposing Cathedral and Castle. The next part of the tour passes Emperor Hadrian’s Roman Wall and through Northumberland National Park and across the border into Scotland to Edinburgh area for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Edinburgh
Spend the day exploring this fine capital city from an open top City Sightseeing tour bus. Visit the Castle, Royal Mile and the Royal Palace of Holyrood and visit the Tartan Weaving Mill at the bottom of the Royal Mile to find out how tartan is made and if you have a family tartan. Spend some time souvenir shopping or try one of the many walking history tours around the city. Overnight in Edinburgh area and enjoy a traditional Scottish Evening of haggis and dancing.

Day 6: Scottish Borders
Drive through the pretty Pentland Hills to the English border, stopping at Gretna Green to visit the Old Smithy where runaways from England married under Scottish law. Cross back into England and take a scenic tour of the Lake District National Park before heading south to the Roman walled city of Chester for dinner and overnight nearby.

Day 7: Chester
Spend some time exploring the shops in the historic "Rows" of Chester and take the History Hunter walking tour before heading south to visit Shugbrough Hall. Travel south along the Severn Valley, passing the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills toarrive in Bath area for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Explore Bath
This day is spent in the world heritage city of Bath with its fine Roman baths, superb 18th century architecture, an abundance of culture mixed in with modern shopping starting with an open topped City Sightseeing tour bus. It is an ideal place for some souvenir shopping before returning to the Bath area for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Return to U.S
Return to London to start your homeward journey.
