Rental Tips:

• CDW Insurance is required on all rentals.

• Diners Club, and Gold & Platinum MasterCard offer this coverage complimentary for certain car types and for a maximum of 15 days; verify the details with your own credit card company.

• There can be a surcharge for drivers under the age of 30.

• Minimum driving age for car rental is 23 and the maximum age to rent a car in Ireland is 79.

• Rates are based on 24-hour periods; there is a 2-hour grace period on date of return.

• Rates are based in the season that rental begins. (i.e. if your rental begins in low season and ends in mid-season, you will pay the low season rate for the entire rental).

• Child seats are available for an additional cost.

• Trunk Capacity – Please keep in mind that in Ireland the cars and trunks are smaller, so limit your luggage.

• Hertz offers free pick up/drop off at all of their locations in the Republic of Ireland.

• Inspect the car prior to rental and have all dents, scratches, tires and problems noted on your contract.

• Review your car rental charges before leaving Ireland, make sure to get everything in writing.
